NEW DELHI: The Central Industrial Security Force has nabbed a 30-year-old man with foreign currency worth Rs 1 crore at Kolkata airport.
Around 7:45 am on Wednesday, CISF sub inspector Deepti Sharma, all through pre-embarkation safety test, spotted the pictures of bundles/packets gave the look to be currency within the hand luggage of a passenger.
The passenger was once requested to open the bag for bodily checking, all through which 1,04,850 US bucks, 23,59,000 Nippon/Yen, 41,800 Saudi Riyal, 13800 Euro and 3280 Thai Baht had been recovered.
The passenger, Anirban Chatterjee, CISF mentioned, was once meant to shuttle to Bangkok with the cash.
