NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Thursday warned a small band of senior advocates and lawyers to forthwith rein in their tendency to boost their voice all over arguments after they in finding the courtroom disagreeing with them.
A five-judge charter bench of Chief Justice Dipak Misra and Justices A Okay Sikri, A M Khanwilkar, D Y Chandrachud and Ashok Bhushan took robust exception to the techniques hired by way of the ‘shouting brigade’ and stated, “Lawyers are called the ministers of justice. They are also referred to as officers of the court. But unfortunately, a small group of lawyers raise their voice. They must understand absolutely clearly that raising their voice is not going to be tolerated. Raising the voice means either the lawyer is incompetent to present the case or he is inadequately prepared with the case.”

Day before yesterday (in Ayodhya case), it was even more atrocious. “The senior suggest (Dhavan) who argued on Wednesday (in Delhi case) contradicted the opposite suggest for Delhi govt Indira Jaising. Same shopper had many suggest. Different and contradictory arguments had been complicated by way of the suggest for a similar birthday party. Jaising stated she did not trust Dhavan’s stand and stated that she stood by way of her arguments regardless of Dhavan’s remark.
