NEW DELHI: The CBI has taken over the probe into the alleged custodial loss of life of a 16-year-old boy in Katortal police put up in Uttarakhand’s Udham Singh Nagar district in February, through which the then in-charge of put up, sub-inspector Praveen Singh, constable Balwant Singh and unidentified individuals had been named as accused.
The Uttarakhand prime court docket had directed the company to analyze the case after ‘s father approached it with a grievance in opposition to the law enforcement officials. The father had alleged that on February 26, Praveen Singh known as them to the police put up to query his son Ziauddin.
He claimed that on achieving the put up, the policemen locked his son in a room, accusing him of eloping with the daughter of a Kazibagh resident. The policemen requested the daddy to depart the put up and stated they had to query his son for some extra time, he had claimed.
The father alleged the policemen mercilessly beat up his son for 2 days and burdened him to just accept that he had eloped with complainant’s daughter. The father claimed on February 28, policemen have been observed leaving together with his subconscious son in a car which he and his kinfolk trailed.
